Calgary 2012Culture Capital

Papergirl Calgary thanks Calgary 2012 for their funding support, we are proud to be investing in Calgary’s diverse Cultural Capital. Calgary 2012 is an independent, non-profit organization that helps showcase Calgary’s culture and create legacy projects to encourage future cultural achievements. The goals of the organization are to raise awareness of the richness of Calgary’s cultural assets, empower cultural celebration and participation in every community in Calgary, to build a stronger sense of identity and have local and national impact.  2012 marks the centennial anniversaries of the Calgary Stampede, City of Calgary Recreation and the Calgary Public Library as well as the Theatre Junction GRAND and the Pumphouse Theatres. Calgary 2012 is part of the Government of Canada’s Cultural Capital of Canada Scheme.

Papergirl Calgary is also sponsored through the Grassroots Inspired Grants Scheme, part of the Calgary 2012, City of Calgary and Cultural Capital of Canada Programme. Thanks to the Ambassadors who voted for our Project! This new funding will make our August events even more spectacular!

A big shout out as well to CLUBCARD who have provided Papergirl Calgary with the fabulous flyers and posters that have spread like wildfire throughout the city. If you haven’t heart about us via online, there is a good chance you have seen posters and flyers about us! Thanks CLUBCARD!
